Dr. Asfour is a highly regarded leader in the medical field, recognized for his contributions to infectious diseases and healthcare accessibility. As the founder of Praxis Medical Experts, he has successfully connected over 300 medical experts with attorneys nationwide, providing essential support to the legal community.
Dr. Asfour is committed to empowering healthcare workers and the general public through engaging talks, mentorship, and teaching. He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine (Volunteer) at the University of California, San Francisco, where he teaches internal medicine residents and medical students about infectious diseases.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Asfour founded Capsid Consulting to assist long-term care facilities, businesses, schools, and universities with infection prevention. His leadership has been instrumental in managing the spread of the virus and ensuring community safety.
Dr. Asfour established Praxis Infectious Diseases to improve healthcare access in underserved areas. This initiative offers telemedicine services to rural populations across the United States, aiming to bring quality healthcare to those who need it most.
Dr. Asfour also co-founded the Pul Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works with humanitarian organizations worldwide. The Pul Alliance focuses on digital health, workforce development, impact assessment, and resource mobilization, helping to build capacity and capability in underserved regions.
In addition to his work in the United States, Dr. Asfour has contributed to public health initiatives globally through his work with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, focusing on HIV and other infectious diseases.
